The Russian Defence Ministry plans to sign a long-term contract with the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol for the period up to 2027 for the supply of new anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) of the Tor-class, including upgraded ones based on experience acquired in Syria and in the Arctic.
It was announced during the visit to the Plant by Deputy Defence Minister Aleksander Krivoruchko.
Russian Deputy Defence Minsiter also thanked employees for effective work and manufacturing ahead of deadlines.
“The Kupol Plan has implemented the state defence contract in full scale, all the equipment has been supplied to the troops. I would like to particularly note the Arctic version of the Tor complex, the first serial batch has already entered the service with the troops. Therefore, there is no rebuke to the work of the enterprise”, said Aleksey Krivoruchko.
